Abstract :
The performance of four different op-amps from three different manufacturers are compared at room temperature (300 K) and liquid nitrogen temperature (77 K) based on a high-pass filter circuit. The theoretical and experimental gain and input impedance as a function of frequency are reported. The bandwidth of the filter increased at 77 K compared to 300 K operation, for three out of four op-amp IC based high-pass filters. It might be possible to use commercially available CMOS op-amps at low temperatures
