Abstract
Summary form only given. The effects of two CERV (crew emergency return vehicle) re-entry profiles (+3.3 G x-Appollo; +7.8 G x-Gemini) on the cardiovascular hemodynamic parameters were investigated in primates before and after 20% (class II) and 40% (class IV) hemorrhagic shock states induced by controlled blood loss. Thirty-two animals were divided into four equal groups: high G x/class IV, high G x/class II, low G x/class IV, low G x/class II. The results demonstrated consistent findings in the hemodynamic parameters as typified by cardiac output (CO) measurements
