Abstract
A remote positioning and control system based on SCM and SIM508 was studied and tested in this paper. The experiment results show that the terminal´s GPS data was transmitted to monitor and control center by GPRS network. At the meantime, the control information from monitor and control center was transmitted to the terminal by GPRS too. Because of the wide range of GPRS network, this system can position and control at very long distance in real time. The technology can be used in automatic cruise, unmanned exploration, rescue and guidance of weapon and so on.
