Abstract :
In 2005, thousands of wild birds around the Qinghai Lake died of avian influenza virus. Following the incident, Computer Network Information Center (CNIC) of China Academy of Sciences and several other research institutions as well as the local natural reserve administration took actions to study it from different aspects and at different levels. With the launching of CNGI project around the Qinghai Lake in 2010, the network sensors have begun to be widely applied in this area so that both the hardware and software environment there have been greatly improved, thus providing large quantities of original data for further scientific research, which will definitely promote the further development in the regional study.
