  • Abstract
    In this paper, some problems faced by domestic traffic signal controllers are analyzed, and comes to a conclusion that it is very in need to develop a monitoring system for traffic signal controller based on WEB technology. The structure of monitoring system is divided into four layers and the specific design method of each layer is exposited in detail, the system function realized is also illustrated meanwhile. Test shows that the traffic signal controllers can be effectively monitored and managed by this system with good real-time. As the system is B/S structured, it is easy to upgrade and maintain and also can be used to monitor other underlying devices of the intelligent transportation system (ITS).
