Abstract :
In this paper, the sources and characteristics of organic acid wastewater were introduced firstly. Meanwhile, the current status and development of the common processing techniques are summarized. Based on the principle and applicability of treatment techniques, the advantages and disadvantages of various processes were analyzed and discussed in detail. The comparison demonstrates that using the biological treatment in treating high strength organic acid wastewater is advantageous due to minimal space requirements, low capital cost and excellent removal efficiencies, and especially using an anaerobic aerobic integrated bioreactor is the development trends in future .
