Abstract :
An operator is expressed in parametric form in terms of gains and angles in a way which is a direct generalisation of the gain/phase decomposition of a simple scalar transfer function. A possible design technique is outlined and illustrated by an example. For simplicity of exposition only 2-input 2-output systems are considered.
