Abstract :
We proposed the design and implementation of the laser diode driver (LDD) circuitry with large driving current capability and high speed. The novel LDD circuitry with SFM (Source Follower Mode) architecture has been developed and carefully simulated. Besides, we also compared previous SFM architecture with the proposed novel SFM architecture. It can be shown that the novel SFM LDD faster speed performance than that of previous architecture. And novel SFM LDD is better than previous including Slew-Rate, reaction time, overshoot /Undershoot and corner case. The novel LDD is designed and implemented in TSMC 0.35-μm 5V CMOS process.
