Abstract
Lianyungang faces threats from typhoon storm surge. The potential storm surge induced by typhoon needs to be studied. The ADCIRC hydrodynamic model has been applied on analysis of storm surge in the coastal of Lianyungang. The atmospheric driving forces of storm surge model (pressure and wind fields) have been simulated by Fujita-Takahashi model. The calibrated ADCIRC model is applied to simulate the potential surge setups generated by typical typhoons. The simulated results in the paper can be served for coastal engineering application.
