Abstract :
In landslide model test, it is more commonly used the inclining-load method to realize imitating the destruction state of the slope. This paper will analysis the fracture morphology of the inclining-load method and the strength reduction method based on numerical calculation. Then it can be seen that the destruction state of the inclining-load method and the strength reduction method is coincident. Because of the constraints caused by the similar material, traditional model test is hard to make the stress level of the model be coincident with the prototype. This paper propose the relative stress field to study the similarity of the stress field of the inclining-load method and the centrifuge model test. The results show that the relative stress state of the model is similar with the centrifuge model test when the tilt angle is less than 9°.
