Abstract :
The use of hand-held communication transceivers has become widespread and is further growing. Because these devices are used in close proximity of the human head, questions have been asked regarding safety of their use. An overview is given of research on radiofrequency/microwave energy deposition, relevant biological effects, and a perspective from some national health standards point of view
