Abstract :
In this paper the design of a Co-Planar waveguide (CPW) fed rectangular slot microstrip patch antenna is presented. This antenna is simulated in Microwave Studio on Computer Simulation Tools (CST 2012). In this design two H-slot have been etched on the ground in order to make wideband antenna. This slot on the ground helps in reducing the overall size of the antenna. The proposed antenna has impedance band width of 1.225 GHz. Return loss remain below -10 dB line (for 90% power to be radiated) in the frequency range starting from 4.3127 GHz to 5.537 GHz. Reasonably gain of 4.707 dB has been achieved in simulation of this antenna.
