Urban VIS design and urban cultural image investigate primary explosion of Yantai VIS design

Based on the series problems that occurred to current China´s city vision image design, This paper analysis the reasons of the monotonous and superficial of the city image design and also put forward the necessity of urban VIS design. This paper take Yantai VIS design as breakthrough point, On the basis of field investigation and system research, find the disadvantage of urban visual identity which from the basic identity system including city logo, city logotype, city house color etc, to identification system, for example:public space system, environmental visual leading system, etc. Combined with the current design of the outstanding urban VIS case of VIS design ideas and visual image design of Yantai City Enlightenment, sought by the city to reflect the urban design of VIS´s spiritual, cultural, urban planning department to provide a reference design theory and practice mode.
