Charming village landscape, sweet daily life-Take rural tourism planning in Xichang, China as an example

Rural spaces are no longer associated purely with agricultural commodity production but are seen as locations for the stimulation of new socio-economic activity. In this case, Xichang was taken as an example of rural tourism planning. We analysed the advantage of natural resources and categories and culture. The idea is that “festival activities + sightseeing holiday + rural leisure + fitness regimen” is the suitable mode for Xichang rural tourism. Moreover, it are four main function subarea that northern historical and cultural touring area, rural central flavor swim area, southern folk customs experience area, and ring lakeside water rest resort area. The four function subarea make sure the abundant tourism space and charming village landscape. Furthermore, an integrated system of tourism production might be ensure the income of local residents that is the source of sweet life.
