Abstract :
The utilization of server based Java software enabling utility enterprises access to PLC real-time data using standard browser technology, pushes the envelop in utility substation automation. Enterprise-wide access to substation real-time data, combined with the speed supported by Internet/intranet based systems, allow globally recognized technology to support the economic drivers of a changing business environment for the electric utility market place
