Abstract
One of the complex planning of Electricity network expansion is hybrid generation-transmission expansion planning. In most of studies, cost of the fuel transmitted from refinery sites to power plant is neglected or considered in the problem like a constant index. In last study, fuel cost is considered proportional with the distance between refinery and power plant so that the results cannot be in the global optimum point. This paper aims at proposing a new approach for solving the gas optimal power flow with considering the non-linear gas equations. Besides, the paper aims at considering the gas network in the planning so that the fuel cost can be calculated more accurately. The proposed approach is successfully tested for integrated network of power Garver test system and a sample gas test system. The results demonstrate that the proposed approach has a appropriate accuracy and speed in solving the planning.
