Abstract :
Profile control of cold rolling strip include items such as crown, flatness and edge drop, it is a key issue in the strip rolling industry. The dynamic shape control of strip is important in the process of tandem cold rolling, it is usually coupled with the gauge control of strip. In this paper, a set of coupling models, such as crown and flatness coupling model, shape and gauge coupling model, are studied in different conditions. A dynamic shape control system is developed together with corresponding decoupling design, so as to improving the traditional method of shape feedforward control. The models have been applied on the field, and good result is obtained.
