Abstract
The Rocky Mountain pumped storage power plant is located north of Rome, Georgia, USA, and contains three reversible pump-turbine/motor-generator units rated to deliver a total of 850 MW on essentially a pure pumped-storage recirculating cycle. The plant controls are provided by a fully integrated, distributed control system (DCS). The plant has been successfully in operation since 1995
