  • Abstract
To meet the needs of reducing miss rate of wireless Micro-Ball endoscopy and assisting in gastrointestinal (GI) tract images 2D representation in post-processing, a small size, low power attitude system is designed. The system, which consist of 3-axis magnetic and accelerate sensors, calculates the orientation of the wireless Micro-Ball helping select the most suitable camera to capture GI images and provide information for image registration. A demonstration system based on MCU is implemented and is verified in the Micro-Ball endoscopy system. The total power consumption of the hardware implementation is about 1.5mW at 50Hz output data rate (ODR). And the relative errors of pitch and yaw are within 2.5°, roll is within 3°.
