Abstract

Geographical information is a key resource for urban planning and management of public law. Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI) enable cooperation and sharing of geospatial data, but the open and distributed character of these infrastructures is a factor that hampers the interaction and contribution from the citizen to those data. This paper presents a proposal supported by Terminological Ontologies, seeking to minimize some problems related to semantics at the search for information in metadata catalogs in a SDI, at a local level.
