Abstract
The paper proposes a novel configuration for a full-bridge zero-voltage-transition PWM DC-DC power converter which uses a saturable core reactor instead of the two auxiliary switches. The scheme has all the advantages of the existing schemes but uses a simpler control circuit. The operation of the power converter is explained by dividing each half-period into six modes. Design equations for the auxiliary network and the experimental waveforms of a 200 W power converter are given
