  • Abstract
    The time-frequency characteristics of late potentials (EP) of preprocessed ECG signals were investigated by means of FFT-spectrograms and the wavelet transform. The averaged ECGs of 21 patients with ventricular tachycardia and of 29 normal subjects were studied. The time-frequency distribution plots of wavelet transforms demonstrate a considerable high resolution for both variables. Quantification of an adequate distribution parameter allowed the discrimination between the two groups.
