Abstract
An approach to control system design based on frequency domain defined adaptive filters using FFTs is introduced. Development of this new approach is not complete so this paper provides only a status report. It is anticipated that this approach will lead to a set of standard microprocessor based modules that can fulfill a wide variety of adaptive control requirements. Implementation with microprocessors in terms of basic architectural system design is discussed. Finally qualitative estimates of processing speed are made.
