Abstract
In this short paper, the input-output (I-0) stability (output in Lm 2 if input in Lm 2) and asymptotic stability of nonlinear Hamiltonian systems and nonconservative systems in elasticity are considered. For I-0 stability passivity theorem and for asymptotic stability Liapunov´s approach are used. These results will involve the system topology (the configuration of actuators and sensors in the system).
