The landscape design of cities both with mountains and waters

By taking Dandong which is the largest boundary city as an example, relevant problems about landscape design of cities with both mountain and water scenery are discussed. Based on analysis of function and orientation of along-mountain area, downwn area and waterfront area, the designs of landscape and grassland are investigated. Furthermore, the city´s natural attributes, particularly the relationship between the physiognomy and the urban landscape design, are discussed, thus a new concept of advocating planning and designing the landscape with obeying the natural process is proposed.
