Abstract :
After the impoundment of the Three Gorge Reservoir, the changes of geological environment along the reservoir bank often cause some geological problems, such as slide, bank collapse etc. In this paper, 760 section of Jiatanchang reservoir has been taken for example, Unbalanced Thrust Force Method was selected first to calculate the stability; and then the stability coefficient of the arc slide inside the Quaternary soil was searched by Limit Equilibrium Theory to identify the most dangerous arc sliding surface, then analysis and calculation in three different conditions was conducted by SARMA, JANBU and BISHOP, and the result finally showed that the reservoir was stable.
