The development strategy and planning design on industrial park in globalization

At present the fourth industry transfer contributed by the trend of globalization brings both opportunities and challenges for Chinese cities´ development. In order to spare more space and resources to take the international high-end industry, many low-end industries in the eastern coastal areas are being transferred to Midwest cities in the mainland. In order to seize this opportunity and develop the cities, Midwest cities begin the construction of industry park to provide enough space for industry development. Xiangyang Jiahai Industry Park(XJIP) in is the fruit of this movement. Contrary to the traditional study that only focuses on the rationality of the planning and design structure, this study considers the macro context of urban development as its first priority under which background it advocates that the industry park´s position should be based on its function. This paper proposes new creative design concepts in terms of land using, ecological environment, park development, etc. and this study will provide useful reference on industry park´s comprehensive study and construction.
