Abstract :
In this study a kind of alkai-soluble polysaccharide in Tremella fuciformis was extracted and purified for the first time. Its structure and antioxidant activities were evaluated. It showed that alkai-soluble polysaccharide of Tremella fuciformis (ASTP) was with a molecular weight of 32.9 kD. The main monosaccharides in ASTP were β-type pyran configuration. ASTP showed higher antioxidant activity than hot water extracted polysaccharide in vitro and should be explored as a novel potential antioxidant.
