Abstract
The contribution presents consideration about the scientific literacy which is necessary for our daily decisions in information society. Science teaching must to reflect the new requirements from society. The role of science teachers in active learning by inquiry activities is described. For the using of adequate method and levels of inquiry the teaching and learning materials were created and piloted. The same structure with concrete elements description could help teachers with full-value exploitation in school practice.
