    This paper gives an overall description of the new turbine/generator co-generation system as implemented in the context of the major extension of the SAPPI Saiccor pulp production plant. The new turbine/generator control system is divided into five main sub-systems. Various functions have been implemented within these sub-systems and are dealt with in this paper
