Abstract
The electromagnetic field analysis of a hybrid linear stepping motor (HLSM) is the basis for calculation of its static and dynamic characteristics. In this paper, a model of HLSM has been designed and analysed using 2D FEM. The magnetic field distributions for different platen positions in both energised and unenergised states have been discussed. The forces between forcer and platen have been calculated using the virtual work method
