Abstract
The increasing use of radio as a means of providing telecommunications services is bringing to the fore the need for good spectrum management at all levels. After discussing this need the paper looks at the hierarchy that exists to manage the spectrum, and at the benefits to a major user of having an internal spectrum management section. Finally, Telkom´s implementation of such a section is described
