Abstract
In this study, electrokinetic forces are used to fine-tune the concentration prior to droplet injection. Furthermore, diluted droplets have been sorted according to their dilution rate due to the remaining charge on the droplet surface. This technique has also been successfully applied to enclose controlled concentrations of cells and beads in a polymeric vehicle. The system presented a very quick response to voltage changes, while maintaining a steady droplet production rate and size.
