Abstract
The method of insulin injection is studied by many researchers. The optimal injection method can make the blood glucose concentration of diabetic patient steadily and reduce the various complications. In this paper, we propose two control algorithms, a fuzzy-PID control and a classical PID control method for the insulin injection. The computer simulations are done using a mathematical model of the dynamics of blood glucose regulation in the blood system developed by Bergman et al. The simulation is performed to manifest the theoretical analysis. The development reported in this paper is expected to simplify the insulin delivery, thereby enhancing the quality of life of the patient.
