Abstract
The design orientated teaching of measurement and instrumentation must have as its basis a systematic model of the design process, and a systematic design methodology. At the core of the methodology lie: a problem solving paradigm of the design process, systemic methods of description and analysis, with the employment of abstraction and decomposition, and emphasis on systematic methods of design concept generation
