Abstract :
A novel frequency hopping spread spectrum system is proposed in which combination tones are transmitted for each hopping step to improve spectral efficiency. Differing from conventional systems a wide variety of modulation processes are available in the system. Some of these are presented in this paper and, as an example, a result of analysis of an illustrative system is shown
