Abstract
In this paper, we describe effects of odd-correlation functions and band-limitation filters for a direct-wave reception system using broadband spread-spectrum techniques. The effects of odd-correlation functions are investigated by using M-sequences and random sequences, and the effects of band-limitation filters are examined by using four kinds of filters. In the band-limitation examinations, we show the characteristics in the case that band-limited despreading sequences or rectangular despreading sequences are used at the correlator in the receiver. Consequently, we notice the advantage of using M-sequences as the spreading sequence considering the effects of odd-correlation functions and the advantage of the rectangular wave-form as the despreading sequence considering the band-limitations
