Abstract :
The avionics full duplex switched Ethernet (AFDX) network is a strong real-time system and its end to end transmission delay is paid close attention to fully. At first, a new service model was given according to different buffer area size based on network calculus. Then, the method of calculating the AFDX network delay based on different buffer area size was offered. At last, the new method was validated by experiment, and the experiment results showed the effectiveness of the approach. This method can provide theoretical guidance to the optimum allocation of AFDX network switch delay.
