Abstract
The study shows the influence of the polymer morphology, and in particular that of the spherulite size, on the apparition of space charges in polyethylene plaques. We show that a substantial distribution of space charges is perceptible immediately after the preparation of the samples. The application of an increasing electric field amplifies the space charges profile already observed in in non polarised samples. The study is carried out to the breakdown of the sample
