Abstract
The authors present the AT&T IN (intelligent network) architecture and the services it can provide. A queuing network model of a simple architecture having most of the significant IN service features is presented for the performance analysis of intelligent networks which are undeployed, partially deployed, or fully operational. When the input parameters to the model are approximate, the corresponding results will also be approximate. Nevertheless, the framework is still valid and is a good guide for engineering decisions
