Abstract
This paper presents a technique for the estimation of the instantaneous magnitude and frequency of voltage flicker. The technique is based on extracting the magnitudes, frequencies, and phase angles of all frequency components of the measured voltage signal using ESPRIT-based method. By reconstructing the signal as linear combination of sinusoids, Hilbert transform can be applied to the estimated signal to develop the envelope of the signal. The technique has been applied to estimate the voltage flicker of various simulated voltage flicker generated signals.
