Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Anti-static additives are used to increase the conductivity of insulating materials in order to reduce electrification due to liquid flow or high electrostatic charges on the surface. The diffusion process of anti-static additives from the transformer oil into transformer board (pressboard) is monitored using a three-wavelength interdigital sensor that performs dielectrometry measurements of permittivity and conductivity in order to measure the spatial distributions of additives in the pressboard as a function of time. Measurements are presented as a function of additive concentrations and pressboard thickness, for various system temperatures and moisture levels
