  • Abstract
In order to improve energy dissipation rate, decrease the length and height of stilling basin, the baffle blocks are applied in hydraulic jump with low Froude number (Fr≤4.5). The baffle block effect of fluctuating pressure in hydraulic jump with low Fr was studied by model tests. The results indicate that the frequency property of fluctuating pressure wasn´t changed by baffle blocks, fluctuating pressure in hydraulic jump with low Fr presents presents typically low-frequency characteristic, and the dominant frequency is between 1HZ and 4HZ. After applying baffle block on apron, the time mean pressure is larger, the absolute value of maximum and minimum and Root Mean Square of fluctuating pressure is lower, maximum of turbulence strength and fluctuation strength coefficient is lower, and stilling basin apron is more stable.
