  • Abstract
Collisions among packets decreases wireless network throughput, especially when traffic load is high. Virtual token ring scheme achieves collision free, however, it may cause channel underutilization without specially designed for spatial reuse. A receiver token ring scheme is proposed in this work, which is specially designed for wireless network. The approach makes use of token ring formed with receivers nearby to lower collisions in saturation condition. A reachablity based spatial reuse is considered when building a ring to achieve scalability. Performance of the proposed scheme was evaluated by simulation.
