  • Abstract
Micro flow-focusing devices under different injection conditions are studied in order to produce highly monodisperse droplets. With rapid and periodic breaking-up of the focused disperse phase in three-stream laminar flow system, the dependence of the droplet size on the flow-focusing junction angles is evaluated at different flow rates. The experimental data is analyzed systematically. Explanation is proposed based on a physical model of the water droplet formation in oil phase.
