Abstract
The geometric calculus of Grassmann is applied to problems of multiple signal estimation. It is shown that the natural setting for the r signal estimation problem is the set of r-planes in n space. This object can be considered as a Riemannian space with the selection of an appropriate metric. Further signal estimation can be related to finding the minimum distance and corresponding path from a point in this space to a surface.
