Abstract
Very recently, Chittibabu et al. (1996) have successfully synthesized a polythiophene containing a methane side chain, poly[2-(3-thienyl) ethanol n-butoxy carbonylmethyl methane] (PURET), in order to improve the solubility. In this paper a single-layered light-emitting device structure was fabricated by spin-coating the PURET dissolved in strong polar solvent onto an indium-tin oxide (ITO) coated glass. Photoluminescence and electroluminescence spectra of the device were measured.
