  • Abstract
    PAHs in sewage sludge and its pyrolysis products are ignorable components as a result of their pollution on environment and deteriorate the quality of sewage sludge pyrolysis products. In this study, on the basis of the standard methods of detecting PAHs contained in materials with different phase, such as air, water, and coal, the specific analysis methods for PAHs in municipal wastewater sewage sludge, its pyrolysis oil and gas were built. The studied methods include three main processes, "purification of original samples", "concentration, extraction, and depuration of PAHs" and "separation and qualitative and quantitative detection of PAHs by GC-MS". It was found that sewage sludge and its pyrolysis oil and gas contains to different extents PAHs contents using the built analysis methods. Adding the certain amount of standard PAHs solution was employed to check the recovery efficiencies of the analysis methods. It was proved the recovery efficiencies all of PAHs were above 80% except for naphthalene due to its strong volatility.
