Abstract
The moderate and strong earthquakes influence all spheres of the planet, including the atmosphere. Sometimes the release of energy during the preparation of the significant seismic phenomena could be indicated by the specific position of the relatively lower clouds. The correlation of the data for the lower cloud´s distribution with the seismic information is the main task of the investigation. The new idea consists in the application of the analysis of meteorological images for the seismic and the seismotectonic investigations. The studied cloud-fault relations could be to put in practice like one of numerous indicators for the short-term seismic prognosis.
