Abstract :
We have proposed and demonstrated a new continuously tunable photonic notch filter. A double tunability that combines an in-phase quadrature (I-Q) photonic phase shifter with a wavelength-selective true-time-delay, is used. The I-Q phase shifter continuously tunes the null frequency over a narrow range. Discrete shifts of null frequency are obtained by changing the optical wavelength in the wavelength-selective true-time-delay. The RF signal is carried by an intensity modulated tunable laser.
